Generic…but in a good way

Published by brokecollegestudent at 11:17 am under Uncategorized Edit This

Good Morning nonexistent readers…Today I will start off with the simplest way I, and probably you, know how to save money….Buying generic.

Now, because I live in a college town…and in a sorority house I don’t spend a lot of money on food anyway…so this mostly concerns beauty…those of the unnaturally inflated prices.

5 Things to Always Buy Generic

 1. Toothbrushes/Floss

-They are literally exactly the same down to the pattern of the little rubber grippy things, and you can buy the generic ones in packs of 5 at CVS way cheaper than buying 5 over time.

 2. Lotion

-not like your fancy scented lotion…splurge on those the fragrances in the store brand are usually a little, shock, cheap smelling. But for your average lotion the store brand is the same as the fancy bottle you saw advertised on TV with the crazy graphics of dry skin…and its cheaper.

3. Office Supplies

-Does the pen still write? Does it still look like a notebook and have paper in it? Good than buy the cheaper one. And in bulk – you will end up needing THAT many pens.

4. Nail Polish Remover/Cotton Pads/Q-Tips

-Anything that is essentially the same product with a different colored label and could easily be replaced with your finger or a tissue is fine to buy store brand.

5. Fabric Softener

-If you insist on buying it …buy the cheap one.

That’s all for now, thanks for accidentally stumbling over.
